This reminds me of a man I saw our dermatology Physical Diagnosis session with a fungating squamous cell carcinoma that had metastasized to his EYE, and consequently REPLACED his eye. He had a mushroom-like tumor where his eye should have been. Granted, I’m pretty sure the man was homeless (he weighed approximately 80 pounds) but still.
How can and/or why do people wait so long to get this kind of stuff looked at.
a south american woman comes in complaining of dizziness on exertion, with a positive history of recent syncope. on examination you detect a late diastolic rumbling murmur which follows an opening snap.
infection by which organism could have caused this condition?

- trypanosoma cruzi
